New Latin Mass Announced in Syracuse Diocese

Beginning October 3, 2010, the Latin Mass (Extraordinary Form) will be offered each Sunday at 8:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Verona N.Y., by Fr. Edmund Castronovo, pastor.

Verona is located at Exit #34 of the NYS Thruway, and the church is on Main Street, opposite the elementary school.

For many years, Fr. Castronovo was celebrant for the Solemn High Mass at the Auriesville Pilgrimage for Restoration.  He has also assisted at the diocese’s eastern regional Latin Mass in Utica, the future of which is uncertain at this time.
