New Mass Location in the Diocese of San Jose

Another Traditional Latin Mass location is being added in the Diocese of San Jose, California.
 
Starting Sunday, September 6, 2009, there will be a Traditional Latin Sung Mass (Missa Cantata) at the Five Wounds Portuguese National Church (1375 East Santa Clara Street, San Jose, California 95116) at 9:15 a.m. every Sunday.
 
The celebrant will be Fr. Jean-Marie Moreau, Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest, rector at the Oratory of Our Mother of Perpetual Help in Santa Clara, California.The new Mass schedule has been announced in this week’s (August 30, 2009) bulletin of the Five Wounds Portuguese National Church.

New Sunday Mass Schedule beginning in September

Regular Sunday Mass to be celebrated at Five Wounds Church

With gratitude to the Five Wounds Portuguese National Church Parish and to the Diocese of San Jose, and in response to the needs of the growing Oratory, the Institute of Christ the King will offer a High Mass every Sunday at Five Wounds Church in San Jose, California.

Beginning September 6, 2009, the Sunday Mass schedule for the Oratory will be as follows:

7:45 AM Low Mass – Chapel at 1298 Homestead Road, Santa Clara CA 95050

9:15 AM High Mass – Five Wounds Church, 1375 East Santa Clara Street, San Jose CA 95116

9:30 AM Low Mass – Chapel on Homestead Road

11:00 AM Low Mass – Chapel on Homestead Road

5:30 PM Low Mass – Chapel on Homestead Road

Please note that the 8AM mass at the nearby Oratory of Our Mother of Perpetual Help in Santa Clara, CA (which is about 6.4 miles from Five Wounds) will be moved to a slightly earlier time of 7:45AM. Details are as follows:
