Bishop of Lexington, Kentucky Canonically Recognizes Latin Mass Community
The Lexington, Kentucky apostolate of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter has been granted Community status, effective October 7, 2009 (the Feast of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary). His Excellency Ronald W. Gainer, Bishop of Lexington, has enacted the statutes of the Regina Pacis Community of the Diocese of Lexington, thus creating a chaplaincy under which members of the Community may register in lieu of a parish. According to canon law, the chaplain of the Community serves as the pastor of its faithful. For more information, please visit the Lexington Latin Mass website.
