Co-founder of Una Voce-Canada Dies in Hospital
Barney (Michael James Bernard) Bradley died in Gatineau, Quebec, on Friday, December 2, 2005. Husband of Mary Russell, father of Michael (Joyce), Raymond (Marie), Kathleen (Charles), and William (Linda).
Fourth degree Knight of Columbus, Papal Knight of St. Gregory, decorated World War II veteran (Cameron Highlanders), he retired from Energy, Mines & Resources (Canada).
A Tridentine Latin Solemn Requiem Mass will be offered at St. Clement’s (Ottawa) on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 10:30 a.m.; interment at St. Stephen’s, Old Chelsea, Quebec.
Barney’s signature is one of only four on the application for incorporation of Una Voce-Canada. He was the last surviving signatory and his death marks the end of a pioneering era of tireless work on behalf of the Latin Mass in Canada and around the world. Barney represented UVC at the Congress of the International Federation UNA VOCE at Salzburg, Austria, in the mid-1970’s.
